A Program of:

Classic Ballroom is one of the programs under Friday Night Live and consists of a series of ballroom dances presented monthly during the fall, winter, and spring. These events are usually scheduled on the second Saturday of each month and they begin with a one hour lesson (optional) followed by three hours of general dancing. The music is recorded. Occassionally, a short exhibition is presented. All events are organized and operated by volunteer dance enthusiasts and all events are maintained smoke, drug, and alcohol free. Music is programmed to maintain a balanced ballroom mix which includes:

Primarily: Fox Trot, Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rhumba, Tango, and East Coast Swing (because of the recent explosion of interest in Swing), and

Secondarily: Night Club Two Step, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Mambo, Samba, Salsa, Merengue, Bolero, West Coast Swing, Hustle, and Polka

We continually strive to improve these events and to further that end we invite ideas and suggestions from participants. Also, if participant would like to help in some hands-on way with these Classic Ballroom events, please give your name and phone number to the chairperson.
